Custom Made Orthotics

Orthotics are custom-made devices designed to support and align your feet, improving overall body mechanics and alleviating pain. Whether you have flat feet, high arches, or other foot issues, our custom orthotics provide the necessary support to enhance your comfort and mobility. They help correct imbalances, reduce stress on joints, and prevent conditions like plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinitis. Through a thorough foot assessment, we create orthotics tailored to your specific needs, ensuring optimal fit and effectiveness.

The root cause of back and shoulder pain can start from the feet. A one-on-one consultation with our Certified Orthopedic Footwear Specialist is an excellent start to addressing high, low, and problematic arches. This involves taking precise measurements and observing foot movement and walking motions. Booking a foot assessment allows us to take accurate measurements and understand your foot better, leading to customized solutions for your needs.

How does the Orthotics process work?

Prescription Requirement

  • To submit a claim to your Insurance for Orthotics, you will require a doctor’s prescription for orthotics from eligible health care professional. You can obtain your prescription before or after your first appointment, however, it is needed to submit a claim to your insurance.

Predetermination

  • Before your Foot Assessment, we recommend that you contact your insurance provider to get a pretermination cost for your custom orthotics, and to confirm if there is any additional documentation needed for claim submission, that is not listed below.

Foot Assessment

  • During your your first appointment (the foot assessment), we will examine your feet and take a mold which we will use to create your orthotics. We recommend that you bring the pair of shoes you will wear the orthotics in most often to your appointment.

  • At this appointment, payment for the orthotics will be collected, and we will provide you with an invoice for your records.

Nelson is a licensed Certified Orthopedic Footwear Specialist (COFS) and has 34 years of experience making Orthotics. What he has in his hand is a foot mold. On your foot assessment Nelson will have you step into the foot mold where an impression of your foot will be made. Once the impression has been made, Nelson will be able to create an orthotic that matches the needs of your feet.
